Created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, the series turns for the first time to a female alleged perpetrator.

Dramatising the infamous 19th-century Lizzie Borden murders in what the makers describe as a darkly comic new direction.

Netflix quietly renewed the anthology for a fourth outing, which was filmed between September 2025 and March 2026 under the working title Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story.

It follows previous instalments that focused on Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers and Ed Gein.

As What's on Netflix reported, the fresh batch of first-look images and details arrived via Vanity Fair.

The cast is led by Ella Beatty, alongside Charlie Hunnam, Rebecca Hall and Sarah Paulson.

All eight episodes drop globally on the same day, meaning Irish viewers can stream Monster Season 4 on Netflix from 17 September.
