Here are the 6 best movies on TV this Wednesday

It is Wednesday, my dudes.

The midweek slump. The midweek bump? Wherever you land on the whole affair, we have a handful of movies on the television tonight - Wednesday 6 February - for your viewing pleasure, and they look like this... The Fault in Our Stars - Film 4 - 6.25pm Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley come of age in this adaptation of a best-selling young adult drama purpose-built to make you cry. Oblivion - Film 4 - 9pm Tom Cruise gets embroiled in a space oddity in this fairly underrated sci-fi from 2013 that boasts a tremendous soundtrack and top notch cinematography. Layer Cake - TCM - 9pm Before he was Bond, Daniel Craig turned heads in this gritty and quite convoluted London crime drama with support from Colm Meaney, Michael Gambon and Sienna Miller. Daredevil - SyFy - 10.40pm Ben Affleck swore he'd never do a superhero film again after this. Look how that turned out. The Ghost - ITV4 - 11.15pm Ewan McGregor attempts to finish the biography of Pierce Brosnan's former British Prime Minister, as sinister dealings loom ominously in the background. Zero Dark Thirty - Film 4 - 11.25pm Kathryn Bigelow follows up The Hurt Locker with another tale of America at war in which there are no real winners.
