To put that in perspective, there's only been 31 episodes so far.
Over the course of just three short seasons, Rick And Morty has become one of the most beloved and talked about shows in modern entertainment.
It is a show we talk a lot about ourselves here at JOE, and we still have constant arguments over
the best and worst episodes of the series to date.
Following on from the series finale of Season 3, there had been a lot of "whispers" and "sources say..." news stories that there was trouble in paradise, so to speak, with multiple tales of how
Season 4 was going to be very delayed,
if it was even going to arrive at all.
Then, on Thursday evening, this happened:

That, without context, could mean nothing.
Except it was retweeted by Mike McMahan, a writer and producer on Rick And Morty.
So fans kept a close eye on his Twitter account to see what was impending, and then on Friday afternoon (or 10am for him), this happened:

So that is potentially SEVEN more seasons of Rick And Morty, to round us out to a nice and even ten overall, if they stick to the ten-episode-per-season structure.
No sign of a potential release date for Season 4, but McMahon does talk about the "next seven years", so is it fair to assume we'll be getting one a year until 2025?
We're not sure. What we are sure of is that the stock in McDonald's Szechuan Sauce is about to skyrocket all over again...
