Our TV movie pick for tonight (Wednesday, 15 April) is The Butterfly Effect, the 2004 cult sci-fi thriller.
While unconscious, however, he discovers he can travel back in time to alter the past for himself and his friends (including Amy Smart, Crank).
"But changing the past can drastically alter the present, and Evan finds himself in nightmarish alternate realities, including one where he's locked away in prison," the plot synopsis adds.
While The Butterfly Effect received mostly negative reviews upon release, it was a hit at both the box office and with audiences.
The movie currently holds an 81% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and a high 7.6 score on IMDB.
The movie even got two direct-to-DVD sequels in 2006 and 2009.
The original Butterfly Effect is airing on TV tonight on the channel Legend Xtra at 11pm. It's also currently streaming for free on the service Plex.

An odd but fun period action flick where Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal play European mercenaries who journey to The Great Wall in 11th-century China just as alien monsters attack.
Nowhere Special - BBC Two - 12am
This Northern Ireland-set drama about a dying single father (James Norton) making plans for his son's future has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
An against-type Ashton Kutcher (The Beauty, Vengeance) stars as Evan, a college student who suffered a traumatic childhood and is now afflicted with headaches so painful that he frequently blacks out.

In the intervening years, meanwhile, certain critics - including at Cinema Blend and The Guardian - have argued for the film's merit, praising its interesting sci-fi premise, its dark story and its performances.
