Live TV is one of the most difficult things a person can do for a number of reasons – the fact that you’re being beamed live into people’s houses, the hot lights of the studio adds to the pressure and if something goes wrong it’s pretty difficult to turn around.

One of the main mantras for a smooth live TV show is not to work with children or animals but what if one of those two things arrived unannounced as you were on air. That exact thing happened on Tennessee station 6 News as one of their shows was crashed by a live bat. A bat.

Show’s anchors Bo Williams, Tearsa Smith and meteorologist Julya Johnson were going about their business as per usual when a winged creature swooped onto set. Bo kept his composure but the ladies weren’t quite so cool…
