It gets even better…
There was a massive level of anticipation surrounding Planet Earth 2 before it aired on BBC on Sunday night, but it’s safe to say that it exceeded the very lofty expectations.
The entire show itself was truly incredible to watch, but everyone was talking about one scene in particular afterwards, when a baby iguana had to run for its life within seconds of being born as a collection of hungry snakes eyed up their dinner.
If you saw it for yourself, you’ll know what we’re talking about; if you haven’t, we suggest you watch it immediately.
We don’t think it’s in any way an exaggeration to describe the finished product as one of the most amazing pieces of television ever made and the BBC have released behind the scenes footage of how it all came about.

Again, it’s fascinating to watch, but we can’t help but think we wouldn’t be nearly as comfortable as that cameraman seems to be considering he’s so close to the action.
We’re eagerly looking forward to more of this come the weekend.
