Well, this is unfortunate.
Commuters were forced to switch their morning plans on Tuesday after a cherry-picker broke down on the Luas tracks in Dublin.
According to statements published by Luas on Twitter, a cherry-picker broke down between George’s Dock and The Point at around 8am on Tuesday morning.
Dublin Bus was forced to run replacement services between The Point and Busáras following the breakdown. The Luas have specified that the cherry-picker is not related to the Luas, and that they therefore cannot confirm when services will resume.
As recently as 9am on Tuesday, services had not been resumed, although Luas had confirmed that a tow-truck was on its way to remove the vehicle obstructing services.
⚠️⚠️ Red Line Travel Update: Passengers there is no service between Busarus and The Point in either direction at the moment as a vehicle (Cherrypicker) has broken down and is blocking the Luas tracks. We will update as we receive further information. NF
