Trump is coming to Ireland.

US president Donald Trump is expected to visit Ireland in June this year, according to reports from the US.

While the visit has yet to be confirmed by the White House, it’s expected that Trump will use Ireland as a base for his attendance of D-Day celebrations in France, as well as a state visit to the UK.

It’s thought that he will visit Ireland in the middle of the first week of June and will stay at his hotel and golf resort in Doonbeg.

He is expected to meet Taoiseach Leo Varadkar during the visit, with staff from the Taoiseach’s office checking out security and logistical issues at sites in Clare this week.

Trump was supposed to visit Ireland last November but cancelled without explanation.
