McGregor has responded in classic McGregor fashion.
McGregor threw his support behind the petition to have his face put on the €1 coin this morning with this tweet.

All of our bubbles were burst, however, when The Oireachtas committee decided that the petition itself was inadmissible.
McGregor again used Twitter to respond to this decision with trademark humour, referencing a dramatic incident between TDs Emmet Stagg and Paul Gogarty several years ago.
Well fuck you Deputy Stagg 😂😂😂 https://t.co/w168kOBThK

The petition was deemed inadmissible when the committee was unable to establish contact with the petitioner Patrick O’Leary.
