The 10 nominees for the Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year

The Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year nominations have been announced today and it’s a nice mix of well-known names and some of the brightest new talent in the country.

Here are the ten songs up for the prize.

  • Gavin James – Bitter Pill
  • The Academic – Different
  • Fight Like Apes – Pretty Keen On Centrefolds
  • Hozier – Someone New
  • Otherkin – Ay Ay
  • The Coronas – How This Goes
  • All Tvvins – Thank You
  • Daithi – Mary Keanes Introduction
  • Kodaline – Ready
  • Pleasure Beach – Go

The winner will be chosen by a public vote so pick your favourite at the Choice Music Prize website here.

A special event featuring exclusive performances from both Album of the Year and Song of The Year nominees will be held at The Workman’s Club in Dublin tonight (January 27).

The Choice Music Prize Final, which is in association with IMRO and IMRA, will take place at Vicar Street on Thursday March 3.
