WATCH: The Cranberries in their prime, on world-conquering form with ‘Linger’

Dave Hanratty

Dolores O'Riordan

It was the summer of 1994.

The Cranberries were the guests of MTV’s Most Wanted show, where they would perform two tracks; ‘Dreaming My Dreams’ and the immediately iconic ‘Linger.’

This was The Cranberries in full flight, just a few months before their No Need To Argue album would propel them to global success.

In the wake of the tragic passing of singer Dolores O’Riordan, her powerful, pained, singular voice takes on new weight.

She was, without question, one of the most talented and fearless artists this country has ever produced, and will doubtless continue to inspire people for many years to come.

As tributes continue to pour in for the late singer, it’s worth turning back the clock and enjoying the wonder that is ‘Linger’ in an intimate setting once more.
