Aslan singer Christy Dignam absolutely destroys a heckler who asked him about his false teeth

Not having it.

A few days ago, Aslan duo Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell were performing at The Purty Kitchen in Dublin. During the performance, the singer had his rhythm interrupted after various members of the audience started to ask about his false teeth.

As you can see in the clip below, the video starts with Dignam making a quip about writing the iconic track This Is after walking down O’Connell Street in 1916.

At that point, a lady from the audience appears to ask him why he needs the false teeth. Dignam candidly replies by saying “f**k off, Jesus Christ. Are you for real?” before jokingly quipping that “if you can get those teeth out, I’ll tell ya, they’ll bite the arse off of ya.”

After a bit of back and forth with the audience, one person then asks the Aslan singer “where did you get the teeth?”

Dignam responds in full by saying: “I bought them. Is it f**king bothering you, is it? I f**king had cancer, I’ve gone through three f**king chemotherapies. F**k off! Why do you lower yourself to that f**king infantile stuff? Why do you do that, man? It just makes you look so small?”

The singer then shook the whole exchange off before proceeding to thank the other members of the crowd.

Dignam has always been upfront about his battles with cancer and heroin addiction but to his immense credit, he frequently performs at various charity and social gigs.

The singer famously turned down the chance to play with U2 because he wanted to perform at a charity gig for three sick boys, and he recently gave a free performance to the people of Killarney.

Take a look.
