Met Éireann has issued a nationwide status yellow weather warning for Storm Diana today (28 November), as well as a status orange warning of storm force winds off the coast.
Unfortunately, it looks like the bad weather is going to affect some people’s travel plans.
Early on Wednesday morning, Cork Airport confirmed that 14 flights in total had been cancelled, writing on Twitter: “14 flights are cancelled Wednesday morning @CorkAirport – 7 out and 7 in to Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Bristol, Amsterdam, Paris and London Heathrow.”
The airport has warned that “Passengers are advised to check the latest status of their flight on their airline’s website”.

Similarly, Dublin Airport’s “Live Departures” page reveals that several flights scheduled to leave the capital have also been cancelled.
As of 8am on Wednesday morning, flights to Isle Of Man, London Heathrow, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam and Venice have all been cancelled. Specifics can be accessed here.
