SUNDAY 24 JUNE

How To Train Your Dragon – Film 4 – 3.10pm

An all-star voice cast take part in what is without a doubt one of the best animated movies of the last decade or so, full of strong messages and incredible visuals.

Dante’s Peak – Channel 4 – 3.35pm

Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton try to save a sleepy town in the USA from an imminent volcanic eruption that nobody believes is coming. This was the Deep Impact to Volcano’s Armageddon, if you get what we’re saying?

Lone Survivor – Film 4 – 9.00pm

Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Eric Bana, Taylor Kitsch and Emile Hirsch star in this based-on-a-true-story thriller about a group of Navy SEALs sent into Afghanistan, and promptly realise they are massively outnumbered and the mission simply becomes one of survival.

Ransom – TV3 – 9.00pm

Someone kidnaps Mel Gibson and Rene Russo’s son, and instead of paying the kidnappers the ransom, Gibson offers the money to whoever can help catch the kidnappers. An incredibly tense and very twisted thriller plays out from there.

Pretty Woman – RTE One – 9.30pm

“I appreciate this whole seduction thing you’ve got going on here, but let me give you a tip: I’m a sure thing.”

Lethal Weapon 2 – ITV4 – 10.00pm

“DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY!” Most hate-able movie bad guy of all time? Discuss.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
