Who would you like to see return?

Stars from previous seasons of Love Island are set to return to the villa for a special edition of the reality show, according to reports.

But who will star in the potential new series?

According to The Sun, producers are hoping for Maura Higgins and Kem Cetinay will return.

A source told the publication:

“The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.”

Producers are also hoping Sophie Piper and Scott Thomas will appear in the series, the outlet states.

A source said that the show is in the development stages, but an air date has not been confirmed.

The series will reportedly likely air in 2024 following the 2023 summer series.

Former contestant Adam Collard returned for the 2022 summer series of Love Island and while Collard wasn’t a huge hit with fans, the concept of bringing back old contestants certainly was.

We’d love to see Chris Hughes return, mainly for the rapping.

And as much as we love Will and Jessie, we’d love to see the chaos that would ensue if he met Maura.

The news comes after ITV confirmed that an ‘older’ Love Island spin-off is in the works.

The Love Island-style show will be geared toward older, single people.

The Romance Retreat will see single parents of adult children search for love in a lavish villa.

Earlier this year, ITV issued the following casting call for contestants:

“ITV1 is looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show!

“This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat.”

All contestants will be nominated by their children.
