Staying in?

It’s Sunday and it’s a pretty miserable day out so you’ll be forgiven for not wanting to venture too far outdoors.

We can’t help with the weather, but we can help you with your movie selection for the evening.

Here are the best movies on TV this evening.

Warcraft – E4 – 6.40pm

Based on the World Of Warcraft games, but I don’t think even fans of the games liked this movie.

Plenty of violence.

Murder on the Orient Express – Channel 4 – 8pm

Detective Hercule Poirot, a famous creation of Agatha Christie, has to solve a murder on a moving train.

Doctor Strange – RTÉ2 – 9pm

One of the Marvel movies, but one of the good ones thankfully. Benedict Cumberbatch goes on a journey to become a powerful sorcerer.

Runaway Bride – Comedy Central – 9pm

Julia Roberts keeps falling in love then running away at the altar. Richard Gere is the journalist assigned to write about her, but inevitably falls for her.

The Inbetweeners 2 – E4 – 9pm

Not the same as the series, but there’s some laughs to be had.

In The Line of Fire – ITV4 – 9pm

Classic early ‘90s thriller about an attempt to assassinate the US President, starring Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich and Rene Russo.

War for the Planet of the Apes – Film4 – 9pm

Some critics described this movie as an “improbably magnificent film”, and they’re correct.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
