Hero.
There are approximately 7,437 reasons why Mark Hamill is arguably the soundest man alive.
1) He’s a frickin’ Jedi Master! 2) He genuinely adores Ireland. 3) His visit to this young boy from Derry that was diagnosed with cancer could unfreeze a heart that’s cased in carbonite. 4) He was brilliant as The Joker in the Batman animated series. 5) He’s fantastic on Twitter and does so much for his fans.
We’re not going to name the other 7,432 reasons because we’d be here all day!
Basically, we could go on forever but there’s a new reason to love Luke Skywalker-himself because it appears that he was instrumental in saving Brooklyn Nine-Nine from being cancelled for good.
Thankfully, the comedy will be returning for a new season but those few hours of limbo were hairier than a gorilla’s arse for fans of the show.
Sgt. Terry Jeffords – better known as the incomparable Terry Crews – thinks that Hamill was instrumental in the campaign to #SaveB99 / #RenewB99.
As you can see below, he was.
Oh my god, I forgot about this scene! 🤣#RenewB99 https://t.co/6IufMclCHt

Oh NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! 😩ðŸ˜ðŸ˜«ðŸ˜¢ I'm SO not ready to say #ByeBye99. Be forewarned @FOXTV-when networks dump shows I love, I'm known for holding grudges a long, L-O-N-G time. I'm still mad @CBS didn't renew #SquarePegs! 😡#EverythingILikeGetsCancelled https://t.co/NEry6Hrpng

It’s clear that the Force is strong with him.
So, any chance of a cameo in the new season?
@HamillHimself I want to personally THANK YOU Mark for using the power of the force to save Brooklyn Nine Nine! *Wipes dirt off shoulder*

"Thanks @terrycrews, the pleasure was all mine!" he said, accepting full-credit while ignoring the 99 gazillion other fans who love this show & collectively really made it happen. #99IsSoFine https://t.co/J9Kpgcssoj
