EVERYONE REMAIN CALM.
People were tuned into Dancing With The Stars on RTÉ One on Sunday night, when the service was interrupted by a blank screen with the letters RTÉ on it.
Just as contestants Johnny and Emily were about to get their results, RTÉ’s line crashed, and viewers were unable to see the show.
Viewers were treated to a member of RTÉ staff reading out the TV listings for a few minutes, as well as a prolonged ad break.
The show then returned, and host Nicky Byrne described what happened as a “technical glitch” and assured viewers that everyone was still alive, and the show got back on the road as if nothing had happened.
And all was right with the world again.
It was a worrying time for fans of the show though, and loads of people took to Twitter to voice their concerns:
Oh Jesus…. #DWTSirl goes down?! Heads will roll!!

I don’t know who was on @RTEOne continuity but they deserve a hug, that’s coming from the man who once filled for over an hour on @RTE2fm due to floodlight failure and resorted to asking @cantwelll what the @IrishRugby dressing room smelled like. Remember that @alancaw #DWTSIrl
