And he did not disappoint…
Danny Dyer has had a bit of an eventful summer.
He appeared on ITV about a month ago to offer his expert opinion on everything from David Cameron (he called him a twat), to football, to Brexit.
His take on Brexit is exactly what you’d expect it to be too, and also surprisingly accurate.
And since then he has been in the public eye again.
His daughter, also named Dani, has been one of the stars of this year’s Love Island.
Dani has been coupling up with a guy called Jack and the pair have been universally loved by fans of the show.
They have remained drama free throughout the entirety of the show, and have been praised for the immediate chemistry that they seem to have.
But since the news broke that a member of the Dyer family would be on the show, basically everyone in the world wanted to see Danny Dyer appear in the villa.
Unfortunately, this never happened.
But on Sunday night’s episode, we got the next best thing.
Dyer Senior appeared on the show for the first time via a Skype call, and he didn’t disappoint.

The actor and TV personality gave Jack his seal of approval, saying: “I approve of you mate, I think you’re absolutely bang on.”
He also praised Jack for his body type, claiming: “It’s not about abs. They’re all abbed up and got nothing about ’em, no disrespect yeah.”
The first family dinner won’t be too awkward by the looks of it.
