Laughing all the way to the bank…
RTÉ presenter Doireann Garrihy recorded a huge increase in income last year, according to her company’s latest accounts.
The figures have revealed that Garrihy now holds cash and assists in excess of €500,000.
The presenter, who fronts RTÉ Radio’s Breakfast Show and its television show Dancing With The Stars, saw her company Doireann Enterprises record a €110,000 increase in profits on the previous year.
Totalling €532,494 in income last year, Garrihy is now one of the nation’s best-paid media stars.
The comedian has been working at the State broadcaster for the previous four years, after landing her first presenting role after rising to prominence on social media for her comedic skits.

Earlier this year, Garrihy purchased a house in the Dublin suburb of Castleknock for a reported €490,000.
In addition to her salary from RTÉ, the presenter also earns income through her work as a social media influencer, brand partnerships and hosting events.
Earlier this year it was revealed that organisations such as Horse Racing Ireland have paid the media star in excess of €20,000 to promote their events online.
The news of Garrihy’s increased earnings comes during from a tumultuous period at RTÉ, in which the salaries and benefits of its top stars were ridiculed.
The 31-year-old is also represented by Noel Kelly, Ryan Turbidy’s agent who appeared before the Oireachtas Media Committee in relation to Tubridy’s undeclared payment scandal earlier this month.
