Writer/director James Gunn managed to pick out some brilliantly memorable song choices to accompany the first two Guardian of the Galaxy movies, and things are no different for the just-released GOTG3 soundtrack.
The first movie (re)introduced audiences to the likes of Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love" and Blue Suede's "Hooked on a Feeling", while the first sequel made entire scenes wrap around Looking Glass' "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" and Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain", resulting in the soundtracks being some of the best-selling and well-regarded of recent years.
The GOTG3 soundtrack features songs from Radiohead, Earth Wind & Fire, Alice Cooper and The Flaming Lips, and you can check it out in full (along with tracks from the previous soundtracks) on Spotify below, or on Apple Music right here.
The promotional material for the movie heavily indicates that this will be the final outing for the Guardians as we know them, with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and gang attempting to reunite with Gamora (Zoe Saldana), who is now the leader of the Ravagers in this new timeline following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Coooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) all return as members of the Guardians, with Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki), Cosmo (Maria Bakalova), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), Stakar (Sylvester Stallone) also returning, joined by new antagonists Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) and the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji).
Meanwhile, James Gunn has since been named co-CEO of DC Studios, with his first project for the rival superhero company set to be Superman: Legacy, which is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide in July 2025.
Before then, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 will arrive in Irish cinemas on Friday, 5 May. Check out the most recent trailer for the movie right here:
