Here’s the lineup for this week’s episode of The Late Late Show

Stephen Porzio

Former Oasis man Noel Gallagher will chat with Ryan Tubridy and give an exclusive performance.

The Late Late Show is back this Friday evening to kick off the May Bank Holiday weekend with a night of conversation and music.

Noel Gallagher will be speaking to host Ryan Tubridy about his upcoming greatest hits album Back The Way We Came: Vol 1.

He will also be giving an exclusive performance with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds of their song ‘Dead in the Water’, a track originally recorded at RTÉ 2FM Studios in Dublin.

Following the Irish release of this year’s Oscar Best Picture nominee Sound of Metal – about a heavy metal drummer who loses his hearing – Tubridy will be talking to Andrew Geary and his deaf son Calum about the obstacles faced by Calum in Irish society.

The pair will also discuss the important role Sound of Metal is playing in raising awareness for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and Calum’s dreams for his future.

On top of this, after 14 months cocooning at home, The Late Late Show will welcome six fully vaccinated pensioners to the studio as they excitedly embrace their newfound freedoms.

Also part of the line-up for Friday’s show is four amateur DIY enthusiasts who will showcase their special creations for entertaining people outdoors this summer as Covid-19 restrictions ease.

Irish rockers Bell X1, meanwhile, will be giving a special rendition of their classic single ‘The Great Defector’.

You can watch The Late Late Show on RTÉ One on Friday, 30 April at 9.35 pm.
