Here’s how much the Game of Thrones cast make per episode

The Lannister family are obviously rolling in it.

Isn’t it nice that Jon Snow, a man who famously knows nothing, earns more money for each CGI scrap he finds himself sprinting into than most of us do in 10 years.

Yep, it’s no secret that the death-dodging Game of Thrones cast whose characters still have their heads intact take home a very respectable pay packet, but thanks to a new survey from Variety we now know who earns the biggest whack.

The magazine’s in-depth research unveiled the highest-paid actors from across television, but focused on estimated payouts from the most recent seasons of specific shows, rather than the various stars’ overall wealth.

They discovered that Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Kit Harrington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) are all paid an eye-watering $500,000 (£392,927) per episode. Take into account that up until now there have been 10 episodes in each of the six seasons and, well, you do the maths.

Stars of Gossip Girl Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel topped Variety’s survey in the ‘Drama’ category, each earning roughly $750,000 (£589,367) per episode.

And it gets more outrageous still, JOE reader. Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, who play Sheldon, Penny and Leonard in the seemingly eternally recommissioned The Big Bang Theoryare paid the big $1m (£786,015) for every single episode of America’s beloved and NEVER-ENDING sitcom.

And with that, we’re off for some fresh air.
