Jonah Hill posts touching message about facing teenage insecurities
Jonah Hill has come a long way since Superbad.
When he burst on the scene as a 22-year-old man in Superbad (one of the best comedies of the past 15 years), it was clear he had bags of talent, and that he had the potential to have a great career.
And he hasn't disappointed.
In the past few years he has been nominated for two Oscars, one for Moneyball and another for The Wolf of Wall Street, but he has missed out both times.
But to us, we'll always remember him as the hilarious Seth from Superbad - where he plays an outcast teenager who just can't seem to fit in no matter what.
Which is why his most recent Instagram post about his teenage life really hit home for a lot of fans.
Hill announced to the world that he had taken up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and that he was training four or five times a week.
He discussed the fact that he wished he had the confidence to have done it in school, and how it's never too late:
"In high school the dudes who did Jiu Jitsu used to beat the shit out of us at parties so it turned me off to it as an idea growing up. But quietly I always thought it was a beautiful art form.
"At 35, I try and get over the stuff that made me feel weak and insecure as a teenager. It’s just wasted time and lessons you’ll never learn. Trying to let go of that."
Fair play to him.
