Not a million miles off The Sunken Place to be honest.

Academy award-winning director Jordan Peele has confirmed that he will host The Twilight Zone reboot that is returning to television screens in 2019.

The Get Out director will explore different dimensions and timelines as he hosts the classic show that focuses on the world of science fiction.

The original show ran from 1959 through 1964 and was hosted by Rod Serling.

Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter about Serling, Peele said that: “Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours.

“I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone.”

The reboot of the show will be produced by CBS in association with Peele’s own Monkeypaw Productions.

Peele had an extremely successful 2017 with Get Out, and this year is going the same way.

Black KKKlansman, which he produced, has been very well received by critics around the world, and made a sollid $11 million in the first weekend.

Peele announced the news that he would be hosting the reboot on Twitter on Thursday morning.
