Late Late Show line up

Some escapism may well be required this weekend.

The weekend approaches, and with it a need for some light entertainment options where possible.

As such, it’s the time of the week where we break down the line-up for that most Irish of institutions – The Late Late Show.

As ever, Ryan Tubridy will be joined a cast of intriguing characters, including…

Patrick Kielty, who will discuss his first-ever lead starring role in a movie by the name of Ballywalter.

The renowned comic will also detail his upcoming ‘Borderline’ stand-up tour.

New music comes from rising Meath country/pop artist CMAT, who makes her Late Late debut with a track from her forthcoming debut album.

Tubridy will sit down with the team behind An Cailín Ciúin; an Irish-language film making a big splash both at home and abroad, following awards at the Berlin Film Festival and 10 IFTA nominations.

Stars of the film Catherine Clinch, Carrie Crowley and Andrew Bennett will be joined in-studio by the husband-and-wife team that brought the project to life, as well as producer Cleona Ní Chrualaoí and director Colm Bairéad.

Also on Friday night’s show, Theresa Haughey will share her experience as a foster mother who cared for over 100 children over the past 20 years.

Further music shall be provided from Dublin songwriter D. Cullen, who returns to the Late Late to perform ‘Radio’.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday night (25 February) at 9.35pm on RTÉ One
