Netflix has just added 19 huge movies to its library
Great news this week for Netflix subscribers!
Loads of new additions to the Netflix service this week, including the full Harry Potter collection!
BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE
Martin Lawrence dresses up as a woman as part of an undercover FBI sting. Netflix has also added the threequel, Big Mommas: Like Father Like Son, but not Big Momma's House 2. So watching this trilogy of modern classics is sadly out of grasp at the moment.
DARKEST HOUR
Gary Oldman won the Best Actor Oscar for his role in this good-but-far-from-great biopic of Winston Churchill.
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM
The first of the Wizarding World prequels is actually good fun, with Colin Farrell giving good villain.
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD
The second one isn't as good, gets very messy towards the end. Much like the Big Momma issue above, the full trilogy of these are not currently available on Netflix, with The Secrets of Dumbledore not added to the streaming service.
FANTASTIC MR. FOX
An all-star voice cast including George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson feature in Wes Anderson's animated adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl story.
THE GREAT WALL
Matt Damon and Pedro Pascal star in this very odd action epic about a group of 11th century warriors protecting the Great Wall of China from (checks notes) aliens? Is that right? Aliens? Fair enough...
HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE
The first one. Its ... fine.
HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS
The second one. Probably the worst of the lot. But Kenneth Branagh is really good in it, to be fair.
HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN
The third one. The point when they suddenly got very, very good.
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE
The fourth one. Arguably the most entertaining one.
HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX
The fifth one. The one with that awesome fight in the Ministry of Magic.
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE
The sixth one. The one where [SPOILERS] is [SPOILERS].
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART ONE
The seventh one, part one. This is a lot of walking around waiting to get to...
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART TWO
The seventh one, part two. All hell breaks loose.
HIGH CRIMES
Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman give good performances in this legal thriller with a plot twist you'll see coming a mile off.
JAWS
Literally one of the best scary movies ever made. Never not a good time to watch this.
SHARK TALE
We can only assume adding this and Jaws together is some kind of inside joke for Netflix.
SPLIT
James McAvoy is tremendous in M. Night Shyamalan's twisty thriller dealing with a man suffering from multiple personality disorder, who believes one of his personalities is a super-strong demon.
