Blockbuster season is beginning earlier than ever before…

Sports dramas, romantic comedies, huge sci-fi action thrillers… whatever you’re in the mood for, it is coming to your local cinema. We’ve picked out the 10 must-watch movies arriving throughout the 31 days of March at your local cinema, starting with…

CREED III – March 3

For the very, very good sports drama threequel, star Michael B. Jordan steps behind the camera to make his directorial debut. Tessa Thompson returns as his on-screen partner, and this time they’re joined by Jonathan Majors (interview below) as Creed’s childhood friend, looking for his own shot at world fame.

SCREAM VI – March 10

For the first time since Scream 3, and only the second time in the series so far, the horror will be moving from Woodsboro, as this time Ghostface now haunting the burrows of New York City. Courtney Cox, Hayden Panettiere, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega return to attempt to survive and demask the killer this time around.

65 – March 10

The writers of A Quiet Place take on directing this epic sci-fi action thriller, in which an astronaut (Adam Driver) crashes on an unknown planet, only to quickly discover it is actually Earth, but 65 million years ago… So, loads of dinosaurs!

SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS – March 17

The DC superhero sequel brings back Zachary Levi as the alter ego of teenager Billy Batson, forced into a battle against the daughters of Atlas, here played by Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu.

RYE LANE – March 17

A very cute rom-com about two strangers (Vivian Oparah and David Jonsson) who have both just undergone some traumatic break-ups, and attempt to help each other move on and potentially find love again.

PEARL – March 17

The director (Ti West) and star (Mia Goth) of X return for this horror prequel, in which we are re-introduced to the killer of that movie, but at much younger age. We get to see first hand her first steps towards becoming a serial killer, including how her… how do we put this?… unique family dynamic helped to shape who she would become.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 – March 24

Keanu Reeves once again dons that fancy suit to take on endless henchmen in his quest for freedom from the all-powerful High Table. Donnie Yen and Bill Skarsgård join the already stacked cast list, while your local cinema will be the best place to check out the epic stunts and fight sequences.

INFINITY POOL – March 24

Brandon – son of David – Cronenberg brings us this very adult thriller. When a famous author (Alexander Skarsgård) accidentally kills a local pedestrian while on holiday, one of his fans (Mia Goth) introduces him to a rare opportunity to be cloned and have his alternative self take the fall for the crime.

GOD’S CREATURES – March 31

Having recently kicked off the Dublin International Film Festival, now is your chance to check out this dark Irish drama. A mother (Emily Watson) provides an alibi for her son (Paul Mescal) when he is accused of a horrendous crime, but she soon begins to suspect that he may actually be guilty.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOR AMONG THIEVES – March 31

The directors of Game Night have amassed a great cast – Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis – for this big budget adaptation of the much-loved boardgame. Looks like a great mix of action and comedy!
