Let’s do the Time Warp again…..

First released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show was greeted with bad reviews and poor box office.

However, as is often the case with misunderstood genius, it wasn’t long before the movie was picked up by midnight audiences, who turned it into a huge cult hit.

It was shown every single Friday night for over 20 years in the Classic Cinema in Harold’s Cross before it was closed down, but we have good news, because it is making an even bigger big screen return in Dublin for one night only.

Yep, the Olympia Theatre will screen the manic musical at midnight on Friday 26 July, with the night kicking off with the host showing everyone what each item in their complimentary interactive prop bags, with the contents to be used specifically at different points throughout the movie.

And while you don’t have to dress up and put on the eyeliner, there is going to be a fancy-dress competition, with all those who put the effort in invited up on stage to show off their lewkz.

Then it’ll be time to sing along to ‘Time Warp’, ‘Hot Patootie’, and ‘Damn it, Janet’ with Susan Sarandon and Tim Curry.

Tickets are €26 each, and can be purchased right now from Ticketmaster.
