Well said.
It was with heavy hearts that Ireland bid farewell to the cast and crew of Star Wars last week, after they had been in a number of different locations filming the latest instalment in the series.
Whether it was Donegal, Cork, Kerry or elsewhere, the cast and crew were made feel at home and a number of them, including Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, and director Rian Johnson, expressed their affection for Ireland before they left.
There was an also expression of gratitude by the cast and crew in the Irish Examiner, where LucasFilm took out an ad on page 7 of Tuesday’s paper to thank the locals for the warm welcome they received during their shoot in West Cork.
Ever wonder what "may the force be with you" is in Irish? Check out @DisneyLucasfilm ad #WildAtlanticWay #statwars pic.twitter.com/SL4Uv8Csmw
