Pluribus Season 2: Vince Gilligan Says The Full Story Is Locked In

Pluribus season 2 has taken its biggest step forward yet. Speaking to Collider at Televerse, creator and showrunner Vince Gilligan revealed that he and his creative team have finalised the story for every episode of the second season, with each instalment plotted out and outlined.

The scripts still have to be written, but Gilligan said “the hard part” is done, Screen Rant reports.

It is a notable jump from the last update. Two months ago, writer, director and executive producer Gordon Smith said the team were “about midway through Season 2, breaking it”.

That other half has now been figured out, with attention turning to the episodic scripts. Filming remains months away.

What Pluribus season 2 will cover

Gilligan also teased where the story goes. The new run will see Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) and Manousos Oviedo (Carlos-Manuel Vesga) spending more time together as they try to fix the world.

The series explores more of the Joining and digging further into whether the world is better or worse off after the alien virus.

Season one ended with Carol bringing an atomic bomb home.

Irish viewers can catch up on season one on Apple TV, where it sits alongside the best Apple TV shows to stream right now.

And if you are working through the Gilligan back catalogue, Bob Odenkirk’s latest streaming hit is an obvious next watch.

However, eager fans will have to keep on waiting as the release date has yet to be confirmed.
