Late Late Show line up

Staying in on Friday night?

It might be an idea, given the high levels of concern around the spread of Covid-19 and the rise of the Omicron variant right now.

Sorry, didn’t mean to bring you down or anything. Just stay safe, everyone.

It’s nearly Christmas, after all.

It’s also time to unveil this week’s line-up for The Late Late Show, which just so happens to be the final episode of the year gone by.

Here! We! Go!

Ryan Tubridy is set to host the St. Vincent de Paul annual appeal special in the company of a host of star names, with Colin Farrell ready to lead the charge for the charity.

Also encouraging the public to donate to the worthy cause will be Majella O’Donnell and TikTok magician sensation Joel M.

Brendan O’Carroll will be in-studio alongside his wife, business partner and co-star Jenny Gibney to discuss their special connection to the charity and their plans for a proper family Christmas at home in Ireland.

Speaking of family, Pat Shortt and his daughter Faye will chat about their own festive strategy and provide an update on their comedy duo act.

In what is being described as a “very special moment for The Late Late Show”, Andrea Corr will team up with Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood to perform Elvis classic ‘Blue Christmas’ in support of Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services.

Further music will be gifted to the viewer by Susan O’Neill, who released an acclaimed album this year alongside Mick Flannery.

She’ll be present to perform a cover of Joni Mitchell’s timeless ‘River’.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday, 17 December at 9.35pm
