Tom Hanks’ comments about Toy Story 4 have left us feeling very uneasy

Toy Story 4

After the near heartbreaking close-call that took place at the end of Toy Story 3, we’re not sure if we can handle another rollercoaster like that.

Remember Toy Story 3? We’re sure you do.

It’s one of the best animated movies of all time, like its two predecessors before it.

And while Toy Story 2 has its sad moments (don’t remind us of the ‘When Somebody Loved Me’ scene, we’re not able right now), it didn’t really compare to the final scenes of Toy Story 3.

It really looked like all of our favourite characters were going to die in a fire. In a kids movie.

Genuinely hard to watch.

Luckily, the day was saved and we had a happy ending, and we all left the cinema a lot happier than we feared we might have.

And by the looks of it, Toy Story 4 seems like it’s going to be quite an emotional one again.

Tom Hanks, who voices Woody in the movies, has discussed the final scene of the film in an interview with British DJ Chris Evans.

According to IGN Entertainment, Hanks said:

“It was the first time that we were going to be recording the end of the movie, and Toy Story is going to have an impactful ending.

“The way you record Toy Story, you’re in a room with the team that has created it.

“When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually, you’re facing him so he can look right up and you can talk about it.

“But I didn’t want to see them and pretend they couldn’t see me.”

He also described it as “a moment in history”. We don’t disagree.

Long story short, if you plan on going to see Toy Story 4, bring tissues…

It will be released in cinemas around the world in June of 2019.
