Rudi Kinsella

The Umbrella Academy Season 2

The Umbrella Academy is going down a treat with fans on Netflix.

A new Netflix series starring Robert Sheehan was released over the weekend, and it has gotten the binge-treatment that Netflix subscribers are so good at.

The Umbrella Academy is set in the year 1989, and 43 babies have been inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before.

Seven of them are adopted by a billionaire who begins training them to to save the world, as you do. But not everything went according to plan as, in their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded.

The show will follow the six surviving members of the family, who are now in their 30s as they work together to try and solve the mystery around their father’s death.

But the estranged family begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.

And although it was only released over the weekend, people have already made their way through the entire thing.

Netflix have even come out and responded to one fan who requested that a second season of the show be announced immediately:

We can’t go into much detail about the show, as we don’t want to spoil anything for you, but just know that people are loving it, and loving Robert Sheehan’s character Klaus the most:
