The new show will give us an alternative view of the world of gaelic games…

RTÉ Two will air it’s brand new GAA show tomorrow night and it promises to show a different side of gaelic games on our island and abroad. Thank GAA It’s Friday is produced by Loosehorse, the same people who brought us Breaking Ball a few years back, so it should be good. The producers have promised “to trawl the country (and beyond) to unearth and time capsule the next generation of unique characters and stories.”

The show will feature such things as a thriving club in Seattle, the oldest hurley makers in the country, David Gillick’s return to Gaelic football as well as military exercises with Waterford’s Stephen Molumphy to name but a few.

The first show this Friday will feature Dublin’s Ryan O’Dwyer who as we all know is a pretty tough guy on the pitch but Thank GAA It’s Friday will show us Ryan’s more sensitive side…

Check out the show tomorrow evening at 7.30pm on RTÉ  Two.
