Video: Kodaline’s beautiful, stripped-back performance of High Hopes on the Late Late Show

Proper lighters-in-the-air stuff

Proper lighters-in-the-air stuff, this.

Irish band Kodaline are in a pretty good place at the moment.

Having had a massive 2014, the Dublin band have just announced details of big gigs in Cork and Dublin in the summer and look like they’re going to go from strength to strength in 2015.

Last night, they turned up on the Late Late Show and played a couple of songs, including a really beautiful acoustic version of ‘High Hopes’ while sat on the couch beside Ryan Tubridy.

Steve Garrigan’s vocal really shines through and the harmonies ain’t bad either.

Lovely stuff.
