Des and the lads would really be down with the kids if this kicked off the show...

The Sunday Game is an institution of Irish television and if the ratings are anything to go by, the show is going from strength to strength. Whether it's live coverage in the afternoons or the night time show, every house in Ireland will have switched it on at some stage during the championship. There's so many brilliant things about the shows; the unique presenting styles of Des Cahill and Michael Lyster, the dulcet tones of Ger Canning and Marty Morrissey commentating, Pat Spillane and Joe Brolly's random and strange statements, Donal Og Cusack's brilliant analysis but undoubtedly the highlight of it all is the theme tune. That theme tune is one of the catchiest tunes this side of Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe and it signals the moment your afternoon of GAA kicks off. Imagine if RTE decided they needed to hit a younger demographic and one of their creative team came up with an idea to change the theme tune. Imagine if they decided that a Trap music remix (see below) would be the way to go... Well stop imagining buddies because the Trap music remix of The Sunday Game theme tune is here and we love it. Have a listen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlddSsiAPV0&feature=youtu.be *Trap music is aggressive lyrical content and sound, which incorporates 808 sub-bass kick drums, double-time, triple-time and other faster time division hi-hats, pitched-down vocals, layered synthesizers, and "cinematic" strings.
