It looks to be giving World War Z a run for its money in terms of biggest zombie movie ever.
A bank heist in Las Vegas, but set in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Army Of The Dead really does sell itself so easily, with director and co-writer Zack Snyder (Justice League, 300) returning to the zombie horror genre for the first time since his Hollywood debut with 2004's remake of Dawn Of The Dead, and tying it up with a huge action heist movie, too.
The plot revolves around Scott (Dave Bautista - Guardians of the Galaxy) hired to infiltrate the vault in an an abandoned hotel in Las Vegas. He puts a team together for the job, but we soon discover why Vegas is empty... well, we say empty. It is actually full of zombies.
And this latest trailer gives us a look at this movie's zombies, and Snyder has switched it up on us again.
Where the zombies of Dawn Of The Dead ran full speed towards their victims, the zombies here are smart and agile, capable of planning ahead, avoiding damage, and laying traps.
Oh, and there's a zombie tiger. Like we said, this movie sells itself so, so easily.
Also, during the trailer launch, Zack Snyder announced that only birds are immune to the zombie virus, so we should probably expect a full menagerie of zombified animals.
The impressive cast-list includes Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone, and Michael Cassidy.
Army of the Dead will arrive on Netflix on Friday, 21 May.
