WATCH: Donald Trump comes out on the wrong side of a fact check in brilliant Arrested Development parody

Conor Heneghan

Together at last.

Arrested Development, which followed the fortunes and more often, follies, of the fictitious Bluth family, is one of the best comedy series of the last 20 years or so. If you haven’t yet seen it, do yourself a favour and try and do as soon as possible.

Those of you who have seen it will be familiar with the format, where a narrator (none other than Ron Howard, also an executive producer on the show) keeps the audience abreast of the various plot lines involving the respective members of the Bluth family.

YouTuber NeverCaesar has cleverly mashed up a video of the Presidential debate in which a narrator, who sounds A LOT like Howard, fact checks the various statements made by Trump throughout the debate with the same narrating style as Howard did in Arrested Development.

Granted, the Presidential debate took place over two weeks ago at this stage, but the clip has only recently gone viral and generated extra traction when it was posted on Twitter by creator Mitchell Hurwitz on Wednesday.

Nicely done.
