"Does Courtney still have her lines written on the table?"
Just from the two-minute trailer for Friends: The Reunion, you can already tell that this is going to be something special.
The visual of just seeing Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all in the same room together is enough to give fans of the sit-com goosebumps, but then seeing them all reminisce on particular highlights and lowlights while working on arguably the biggest TV show of all time... yeah, it is pretty special.
And that is before we get to see them table read some of the funniest scenes from the show's history, and then re-enact the famous apartment-swap competition, but with questions to the actors about the history of the show. That is a moment of pure genius!
Last week, HBO confirmed that the special guest list for the one-off episode will include Christina Pickles and Elliot Gould (Monica and Ross' parents), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Maggie Wheeler (Janice), Reese Witherspoon (Rachel's sister Jill) and Tom Selleck (Dr Richard Burke), as well as special appearances by BTS, Cara Delevingne, Cindy Crawford, David Beckham, James Corden, Justin Bieber, Kit Harington, Lady Gaga, Malala Yousafzai and Mindy Kaling.
HBO has said the special will air in the US on 27 May. While no Irish release date has been set, fans can expect the episode will air in Ireland sometime shortly after it does in the States.
