Last night the 32nd Film Independent Spirit Awards took place, and were hosted by Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, who were there to help celebrate the more alternative movies the last year presented to us.
Earlier this week, Donald Trump announced he wouldn’t be attended the Correspondent’s Dinner – we can only guess how that might have gone down – but that didn’t stop the Spirit hosts from taking a sharp jab at him, as well as his chief strategist Steve Bannon.
It wasn’t all political though, because there were plenty at pot-shots taken at famous Hollywood faces, with Mel Gibson, Warren Beatty, Danny DeVito, Samuel L Jackson and Casey Affleck all getting a good ribbing.
