You can now fly from Ireland to the US for under €100

Flying to America is becoming cheaper and cheaper...

The advent of budget airlines like Norwegian Air and WOW air has seen fares fall dramatically when it comes to transatlantic flights.

On Wednesday, the Icelandic airline WOW has announced a sale that will see one-way flights from Ireland to the US go for less than €100.

Irish passengers will be able to avail of flights from as little as €99.99 one-way to 15 of the airline’s North American destinations, via Reykjavik, including cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, LA, Toronto and Montréal.

WOW air will also be offering low fares on its Dublin to Iceland route with flights on sale from as low as €39.99 one-way.

The offer is available for booking from today (Wednesday) until 23:59 on September 21, for flights between October 1 2018 and January 31 2019.

Svanhvít Fridriksdóttir, Director of Communications at WOW air, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue to offer even lower fares to our Irish passengers, giving them the chance to visit Iceland or tick a bucket list city in North America off their travel list.

“The low fares are the perfect excuse to book that dream shopping trip to New York just in time for Christmas or escape the winter and fly to sunny LA or Orlando.”
