The latest email from the Donald Trump administration list is shockingly hypocritical

The hypocrisy on show here is absolutely next level.

An email sent out this weekend by the “Trump Make America Great Again Committee” has raised a lot of eyebrows.

The email claims that the US immigration system is “in a state of complete chaos,” largely owing to “chain migration” — a derogatory term for the process by which one person emigrates to America and thus is able to secure passage into America for their immediate family.

It went on to claim that many of these immigrants are “not thoroughly vetted”.

A recent benefactor of so-called “chain migration” is Donald Trump’s own wife, Melania, whose parents last week became US citizens thanks in large part to their daughter’s status as a US citizen. It has since been revealed that Melania sponsored her parents through a family reunification programme.

Melania’s parents, Amalija and Viktor Knavs, had been living in the US for several years on green cards.

Michael Wildes, the attorney for Melania’s parents, lashed out at Trump following the email, saying: “Well, tell us how you think, Mr. President. It’s unconscionable to scare people into believing that. You cannot bring nephews. You cannot bring nieces or uncles. You can’t bring 32 people here.”

The email concludes by calling on the receiver to sign a petition to terminate “chain migration” — just days after Donald Trump’s parents-in-law became citizens through the process he wants to ban.
