Video: Australian newsreader shuts down the idea of doing an ‘ice bucket challenge’

While he doesn't begrudge ALS and Motor Neuron Disease charities, Lincoln Humphries feels people shouldn't forget other causes.

While we applaud anyone who takes on the challenge for ALS/Motor Neuron Disease, broadcaster Lincoln Humphries makes some good points.

While he does acknowledge the good that the ice bucket challenge has done throughout the world, Humphries – an anchor for Queensland station WIN News – feels that cancer charities, fresh water campaigns, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul are being left behind.

This is compelling stuff, even if – like us – you’re happy to see the ice bucket challenges go on for as long as possible.
