What was she thinking?
Prue Leith has done the unthinkable when it comes to The Great British Bake Off – she tweeted congratulations to the winner ahead of the final tonight.
The new judge of the show sent the accidental tweet earlier today. Don’t worry, we have no intention of spoiling the show here so we have taken out the winner’s name.
She said, “No one told me judging a #gbbo final would be so emotional. I wanted them all to win. Bravo [winner’s name].”
How did she manage to make such a huge mistake? The likelihood is that she was actually trying to time tweets for later tonight but sent them out ahead of schedule.
Another explanation has been given by the Press Association who have said the time difference between Bhutan, where she currently is, and the UK threw her off.
They reached out to Leith to understand what happened and they said she is in too much of a state to talk about it.
