Gardaí are investigating the incident, which took place on Wednesday evening.
Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an incident which occurred outside the Citywest Shopping Centre on Wednesday (23 October).
From initial investigations, it appears that a car deliberately drove into another car at approximately 5.30pm, injuring a man in the process.
The victim was subsequently taken to Tallaght University Hospital.
His injuries have been described as non-life threatening.
One man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of the collision, with the vicinity cordoned off as result.
