Jay-Z’s entire discography has returned to Spotify for the first time in two years

Some of the greatest rap songs of all time are back on Spotify.

There is never going to be a definitive answer when it comes to the question: ‘Who the best rapper of all time?’

There are just too many factors to take into account. Talent, consistency, longevity, range, body of work and that barely scratches the surface.

But we’re almost certain that if you were to survey 1,000 rap fans for their Top 5 hip-hop artists ever, Jay-Z would make almost all of their lists.

He is a legend, simple as. This can often fly under the radar these days, as his music hasn’t been on Spotify for what seems like an age.

But it’s back now.

After two years off Spotify, Jay-Z’s entire discography has returned to the streaming service to celebrate his 50th birthday.

Spotify welcomed him back on their own official Twitter page, but it is unclear whether his music is now back for good.

Better listen to it all day just in case.

Fans can now listen to classic albums like The Blueprint, Watch the Throne, American Gangster and The Black Album.

His music was originally removed from Spotify at his own request, almost certainly in relation to his ownership of TIDAL, a rival to Spotify, but here’s hoping he has had a change of heart for good.
