Dublin cinema is giving one of today’s best directors his own mini-festival

Rory Cashin

Get ready to celebrate the Fantastic Mister Anderson.

The six-time Oscar-nominated writer and director Wes Anderson has been behind some of the most-loved genuinely brilliant modern cult-classics, and in the lead up to the release of his latest movie, the Light House Cinema in Dublin are celebrating his CV to date with a bit of a mini-festival dedicated to the man himself.

Everyone from George Clooney to Jeff Goldblum to our own Saoirse Ronan have worked with Anderson, and they all turn in some of the most unique and off-the-wall performances of their careers thanks to that collaboration.

On top of the screenings, there will also be some tied-in events, such as “Prosecco and Patisserie” reception for The Grand Budapest Hotel, inspired by the film itself, while the first screening of his new movie Isle Of Dogs will be followed by a Wes Anderson-themed party.

If you haven’t seen the trailer for the upcoming movie, we fully recommend you check it out here:
