Game of Thrones fan is raising money to make sure Ghost is in Season 8

Hero. Absolute hero.

When Oberyn Martell met Tyrion in his cell, the youngest Lannister perfectly summed up the appeal of Game of Thrones. “If you want justice, you’ve come to the wrong place,” said Tyrion as the Prince of Dorne sought revenge for the murder of his sister and her children.

Well, justice is in short supply throughout the Seven Kingdoms but if there’s one thing that Game of Thrones fans can agree on it’s that Jon Snow’sbeloved direwolf, Ghost, needs to return in Season 8.

As mentioned previously, the white wolf was omitted from the most recent episodes due to budget constraints – after all, those dragons don’t come cheap.

When asked why Jon’s wolf was completely cut from Season 7, Bryan Cogman –  a prominent writer on the show- said that a reunion scene was omitted from the final version. “We shot a Jon/Ghost scene. Didn’t make it in. I tried! Thx for watching, everybody.”

This being said, with an increased budget of reportedly $15m per episode, the final episodes in Game of Thrones should feature everyone’s favourite direwolf.

In fact, one fan is even doing his part to raise some extra cash just so we can see that beautiful beats again. As stated on this GoFundMe page, the Game of Thrones fan is “raising money for CGI so that Ghost features in season 8 of GOT. Please help Jon reunite with his beloved direwolf. Also, no one tell Jon, he knows nothing. Want it to be a surprise he’ll never forget.”

We think HBO might be ok for the money but you have to love the initiative.

This Ghost enthusiast is truly a King (in the North)
