The Oscar nominated Irish animators Brown Bag Films are looking to fill 71 new jobs

A dream job for many.

2016 has been a stellar year for the Irish film industry as seen by the sleuth of Oscar nominations that Irish talent received, but one of the trailblazers in the animation industry are currently looking for new talent.

Digital animation company Brown Bag Films are creating 71 jobs over the next two years and they’re looking for staff. At present, Brown Bag employs 184 creative and production staff, spread across their Dublin headquarters, Manchester studio and LA office.

The talented animators have already won 14 Emmy awards and received two Oscar nominations for Give Up Your Aul Sins and Granny O’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty.

In terms of what the company is currently producing, they’re the minds behind the children’s TV shows Octonauts, Doc McStuffins, Peter Rabbit, Henry Hugglemonster and Bing, The company is also working on a computer generated adaptation of Richard Adams novel Watership Down for Netflix and BBC.

Brown Bag was founded 22 years ago by Cathal Gaffney and Darragh O’Connell.
